2014 Season

I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all of the parents for having faith in me to begin to teach your daughters the game of Basketball!   I know I was not perfect but your trust and never-ending support always kept me going!   After the first practice and game I know you were all as unsure as I was about my ability and the season to come.   It is because of YOU and your support that your girls put their trust in me and were willing to listen and learn!!!   I have no doubt that we would all agree that the girls we watched play on Jan 11, 2014 were not the same group of young ladies we watched play on March 1, 2014.   Their growth in skill, confidence, listening with trust and ability is nothing short of spectacular to me.   Thank you for encouraging your children to reach for the stars!!   I am so happy to have been a part of it!

Thank you to Chris and Bryan for leading by example. You both helped me find my confidence to believe that I had the knowledge and ability to be a Coach.   I know you were most impressed by my lineups and organization but in the beginning I felt that was the strongest thing I had to offer so I gave it my all.   By the end of the season, you showed me what it takes to be a leader and someone others will listen to.   Thank you Mark for taking all of the pictures!!   It is a great gift for the team and their families!

To my fellow Mom's - you did not hesitate to participate in the ScriMOMage (yes I know I am abusing the term but I love it) - you are all the definition of leading by example.   I am still not sure if the Girls or the Mom's had more fun that night!?!? I can only hope the girls appreciate everything you do for them.

Last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to Emily, Ella, Lucy, Mia, Olivia, Caroline, Sydney, Brooke and Jocelyn! You all have taught me that it's never too late or too early to try something new.   As long as you are having fun and committed to a goal, whether it be individually or as a team, you can ACHIEVE it if you are willing to work for it!!   I loved watching every one of you gain confidence throughout the season.   DO NOT EVER let anyone tell you that you cannot do something because I have watched you all and I can tell you for a FACT that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING - just work for it!
